Trying to figure out a way to load 4 - 24” BMX Cruisers securely without breaking the bank for a rack. I looked into making a wheel rack, but unfortunately bikes will rub. If I have the two end bikes facing forward and the middle two facing the tail gate fits with no rub. But since it’s a short bed, can’t close tailgate. So if I can some how strap down those 2 middle bikes facing backwards would be great. Been brain storming how to use the rail system

Put D-rings under all your bed bolts.

Seconded, I used black d rings that I had gotten from amazaon and they worked great. Extremely cheap but great upgrade

The problem with many aftermarket D/V rings with 3/8” holes is that the center of the hole is too close to the pivot tube. When these are drilled out concentric to 0.490” for the factory bolt, the bolt head will hit the tube and not flatten against the flange.
On these you really need to machine the enlarged hole offset from the original hole.
