Kinetic Energy Recovery system , it harvests the energy produced when the car is under braking , stores it in batteries , and this energy is used as a boost .

They had no need for it thus far. But like every year the rabbit comes out of the hat from all teams before Europe so safe money is on tire testing in Kuala Lumpur. And the fastest hair is Lewis!

    Around.
    Vehicle:
'11 DC OR Timberland Mica. 6 speed.
Leer 100xr with adventure package, duratrack's, weathertech's, demello sliders, billie 5100's all around, URD short shifter, Diff breather mod. Hiese lightbar. Grillcraft grill. PIAA 520 severere weather driving lights. Other random stuff as well.
This should be a great race, let alone great season.
Vettel clearly seems to have some kinda edge, be it an innate skill (which he clearly has), or newey is up to something (note the fact that they are still running the "flexy" front wing) but watching him go purple on that last flyer last night was impressive. I could have sworn Hamilton would have taken that one.
Hamilton however, seems to have what it takes, as they are only a 10th apart. The diffuser on the maca is curious. If i heard the feed right, its a very, very trick all Titanium bit. They know how to build winning rides, and Hamilton, as we saw last year, and the year before in particular can flog a dog of a car like nobody's business. He has the drive, and know's what it takes to win.
Ferrari are suffering from the great car, rubbish F1 car curse. When they have made "less than great" road cars, they have made stunning Formula 1 cars... But when they make a stunning road car (Yes, the 458 is, from all reports, stunning) they make less than stunning Formula 1 cars. I have no doubt that Alonso will find his "three tents" again somehow this year.. but no time soon.
Sauber imho is gonna be a dark horse this year, same with Renault. Both seem to have a good package, and both have great drivers. Kamui see's passing opportunities where there really are none, and seems to make them stick, some way, some how.
Regarding Ross "outboard brain" Brawn and his Golden chin'd driver, what happened at Fezza all those years back was a entire team built around one driver, and nobody else mattered. The car was developed for him, the tires developed for him, everything revolved around schuie. This is not to discount what he did, which is by all regards, truly remarkable, but its not the same anymore. He's playing in a whole different league now. Then again, get the car set up just right, and we might just see that Schumacher podium jump yet again.
Can't wait for F1 to get back to the states (but too dammed bad Tilke is in charge of this track..). Last time i saw it was in Monaco, and well, that's a little bit of a trip from good ole Montana.

Sector rocher. But got there super early, so maybe 20, 30 ft tops, but up at an angle. so really, right on top of it. Could see from the pool complex, to down the main straight, and the entire pits. Got on track after. Spent 45 min talking to a Toyota engineer.
Amazing, utterly amazing experience. Beyond loud, as sound has nowhere to go there.

Dude there are sooooo many marbles on the track from the soft compound tires. It looks ridiculous.
