2011 Formula 1 Season Paddock

Man I'm glad someone started this thread F1 is so sick!!! I agree with the majority of you about all the newer rules and regs. The one thing that I really dislike is the pit stop strategies. No refueling?? Come on. Its all part of the strategy. I really wish they would go back to the grooved tires. It seemed like the cars had way more traction and faster speeds through the corners. Oh well. But I'm looking forward to the start of the season

 

Slicks have more grip than grooved tires , but the cars also used to have traction control .

No need to feel dumb , they constantly dick around with the rules in F1 , it's hard to keep up !

 

For sure. It seems like every season when you think you have it all figured out they add more/change more. Oh well. I wish BAR honda and williams bmw were still around. The more teams the better

Na I'm pretty sure it was before that. It was like 6 years ago hahaha. But BMW and Honda overall would be nice to see again.

 

Force India and Torro Rosso are good teams , Honda sucked .

 

Ya force india i think is gonna be a good an up-and-coming team this season and probably gonna be one of those teams in it for the championship. Even tho their food smells

Ford filed a lawsuit Wednesday asking a court for an injunction against Ferrari over the use of the F150 name for Ferrari's latest Formula 1 racecar, the automaker said.

X2, I just can't get into whole nascar thing. Gotta left turn coming up, uh oh gotta another left turn. Just boring for me. I have watched them when they are at a road course before though. Still not near as enjoyable as F1. Only oval track race I can to watch is the Indy 500.

So what are everyones thoughts on FOM bringing back Kers this year? Will it be more of a weapon than it was in 2009?

OK here goes my ignorance.

I have not followed F1 in quite a few years, decades actually; this thread may get me watching the sport again this year.

As far as Ford is concerned they just need to get over it. There is not even a F1 race in America. I think I read that Texas is trying to get a race date next year but not to hold your breath.
