my horn is not working. the horn switch is not grounding the relay coil. have removed shroud in front of steering wheel to expose connectors but don't know what color wire to check. battery disconnected. need to fix it to pass inspection. wiring diagram (or factory service manual) download would sure be nice to have. : ) 2011 4cyl manual 4wd stretchcab.

Usually when this happens it's either a broken clockspring wire or a corroded contact between the copper pins and plates used to complete the horn circuit. I would start by lightly sanding the contacts on each place and then if still having problems remove the clockspring and check continuity between all wire points on each end of it.

Sorry I don't k ow the horn wire colours or have a wire diagram for an '11.

It should be your clock spring. It happened to me. Easy DIY fix but the part is expensive.

thank you. I usually have the horn disconnected cause I sleep in my truck and bump it accidentally. Due to this and budget constraints I want to use a push button on the dash. Just need to find the right wire and splice in. searching this site & etc for FSM/wiring download. my email is gormak@live.com thanks again
