I bought a 2011 regular cab 4x4 manual transmission Tacoma with 80,000 miles. It had no problems when I bought it but in the past week only on the first startup it won't move no matter what gear I put it in but if I try to force it and rock backwards it'll move no problem. It wants to move but something won't let it go. I've gotten it to move but it feel like there's resistance so I put the clutch in and the rear right tire locks up but then I put it in neutral then back into gear and it drives with no issue.

Rear drums sticking maybe… a lot of guys have had the problem after the car wash where the shoes stick to the drums.

My guess is a stuck parking brake.

I've tried engaging and disengaging the parking brake a few times but nothing seems to change.

Pull the rear wheels and examine the brake system. Many threads around on stuck parking brake.

It's not an 'on off' in the cab fix, it's an at the offending wheel fix.
