Ok, Mallett definitely had an attitude that rubbed people the wrong way, but to say he couldn't handle the pressure is incorrect.
Did he lose his cool against Alabama? Yes. OSU? Yes. But what about Georgia? TD with 15 seconds left in the game. Mississippi State? TD in overtime. LSU? No problems there, how about that sweet TD at the end of the first half.

McElroy (NOT an ass-clown, but a very classy dude) lost his cool in the Arkansas game. How many INTs did he throw? If not for your excellent running game, our sub-par defense, and Mallett, we could have won that game.

What's the difference between us being biased b/c we're from the south, and you being biased because you're from Ohio? You're standing by your school, and that's fine. I stand by Alabama most of the time. When we cheat, though, I hope we take our punishment and don't do it again, and I don't support it. You, on the other hand, seem to have scarlet and gray blinders on and say that "it was breaking the rules, but it wasn't CHEATING," whatever that means.

I'd like you to tell me exactly what in my response to you showed lack of character. Please point that out to me.

I'm sorry you think you're above responding to southerners... or that you can't think of anything legitimate to say in response to my post.

Arkansas fans and players wanted OSU at full strength.
We were either going to win or lose to the best that OSU had.

Tressel sold out the entire OSU program to protect Pryor & his buddies.
Instead of doing the right thing and turning them in as soon as he found out, he covered it up. The truth still came out and destroyed Tressel's career, the 2010 season, and Pryor and his buddies collegiate career.

I agree with you! I consider myself more southern than northern my family resides in GA and I consider it more home than where I live now. I've been a Husker fan since I was a little kid. We've had ups and downs we've had players go to jail for various reasons. Tressel got caught now he has to deal with it.

Yeah... I might have gotten carried away. That dude always rubbed me the wrong way, though. I can't pinpoint the start of it. I hated that he couldn't beat tOSU and I was pulling for them to do it.

I wouldn't say McElroy lost his cool in that game... His attitude never changed. He performed poorly, but he didn't turn into a little girl when things didn't go his way. That was always my biggest problem with Mallet.

My point about him crumbling under pressure was focused on big games. To say he performed well against UGA is nice, but they were 3rd in the East, and had a 3-5 conference record... and we both know that MSU is MSU. I can't take anything away from the La State win, but scoring at the end of the first half isn't clutch.

ANYWAY... I'm just not a Mallet fan. He's good, and I'm glad he's not going to play against us again, but I just didn't like him.

Thanks! My dad went to Nebraska in the 70's. Saw two NC's while he was there. I pull for the Huskers every Saturday until they play an SEC team (that's not UT or AU).

I think Nebraska is going back to being a major powerhouse of College football. We have a defense that can stop a good offense the only question now is our offense we have lots of talent on offense. Thanks man for pulling for Huskers.

I agree. But it made no sense to vacate the bowl game when the NCAA knew of the violations and told OSU that the "tat-5" were eligible to play. And I'm not sure if it counts for a win for Arkansas as much as the game is just vacated for OSU.

Same goes for the Um game too.

Man our pass defense was horrid the first half of last year, As bad as I hate to say that. I was at that game and the receivers were so open anybody could have hit them, it was ridiculous. As bad as I hate to say that about my own team, it doesn't say much for Mallet. He does indeed have a hell of an arm though.

Just because I'm from the south means I'm biased. That's a genius argument. I don't see lack of character. You're just butt hurt because your team cheated and got caught. You got what you deserved. I'd say the same if it was UGA. Oh wait...AJ Green did the same thing. He had to miss games 4 because of it. What happened to Pryor? He got to play in the game after it was discovered...AND doesn't have to serve his punishment because he ran like a little bitch to the NFL. Sweatervest deserved to get fired because he covered it up. It was in his agreement to the school that if he knew of any wrongdoings, he bring them to the school's attention. So...not only did he cost himself his job, he probably also cost you a year or 2 of post season play. Have fun at home. OSU is always rated high in the preseason cuz for some reason the media sucks on their nuts. I mean come on...Akron, Toledo, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue. Sounds like a schedule Boise State would play.

I'm not a Nole fan but that video got me jacked for the season.

Also...what sucks is that first hit would probably be a flag in the NFL this season. They're ruining the game. At least college is still fun to watch.
