Cool pics!! I haven't been to a game since the Brad Scott era.

 

I did - but I was freaking out up until 10 mins to kickoff. My tickets fell through. I ended up throwing $80 at a guy for a comp ticket. He was happy, I was happy. 45 yard line, the last row before the suites, so I got to stand up on the wall the whole time. I'd kill to have two of those seats every game.

I believe it was....and at the game, the Gators came out in the 2nd half and stomped a mud hole in our ass.....geez!

 

Ouch! I've been to 2 LSU losses - vs Tennessee when I was 4, and vs UAB when I was in high school. Every other game I've been to, we've won. And I try to make a lot. I need a sponsor though, just gotta convince them I'm lucky!

 

Same thing happened to me at the UGA/Auburn game. UGA puts student tickets on their student IDs, so I got some guy's ID and he had a ticket transferred over to it, but he never "accepted" the ticket when he got the email. Didn't let us know that. Had to go out and buy a $40 cheap seat ticket from some freshman chick (all the old black guys sellin em wanted 200-250!), then got into the student section with his ID. Then he got griped out after the game.

 

If you can dig it up, that'd be great. It's getting a lot of attention (message boards, radio shows), but NOBODY has found any support that he actually said it. Somebody actually suggested it was Bob Stoops who said it. (This was the year that it was down to the wire with Oklahoma, La State, and USC at the end, though I'm pretty sure they all won their respective conferences that year, so I don't know why any of them would have said it.

Yeah, we're the flagship university of the University of Alabama system. There's also UAB (Birmingham) and UAH (Huntsville). They actually go by UAB and UAH, while most people call Alabama UA... But I suppose using the same convention, we are UAT. It doesn't really bother me.

I haven't forgotten. I'm glad we're going to get another shot, though. I wish it was going to be anywhere but New Orleans, but it's close enough that Bama fans will travel well. Still....

 

Oh, I love that it's in New Orleans. Of course I'm on the other side of the coin from you. My boo is working on getting me into the game. Fingers crossed!!!

The contract to make Urban Meyer the head football coach at Ohio State University was agreed upon, but not yet signed Monday evening when Meyer reached into that black jacket and pulled out a different contract, one that was written on pink paper.

It was the contract he'd drawn up with his family, the most important step of the process that brought Meyer back from a football retirement that wasn't a retirement at all. It was an agreement that basically said the family agreed that Meyer was of sound body and mind and had full permission to throw himself at a job he never imagined he'd be taking.

Meyer knew he'd have the full attention of the room and of one of the nation's largest fan bases Monday. Because he's sharp and well-versed in coaching propaganda and Ohio State tradition. He knew what to say about what Ohio State means to him, what its football program should be capable of, and how a quarterback, Braxton Miller, with three years of eligibility remaining is already "a ridiculous athlete" with "lots of room to grow."


I wish Urban Meyer would have kept going north....like to Canada.

 

Ah hah! I didn't remember that. I'm still waiting on some sort of evidence that it was Saban who said it. I'm not denying it... I just want something verifiable.

Im lost.. everything ive heard is that if OSU beats OU they are playing LSU for the title, at least thats what ESPN/ABC and all the radio shows out here keep talking about since "Bama" lost to LSU already..

Maybe i heard wrong.
