The Quackers will very likey win the PAC, but I've got a feeling as this season goes on we'lll find that LSU is not a very good team. Again no expert just what I'm feeling.

The Pac12 title will come down to the Stanford game, like last year. LSU has a tough damn schedule, so its hard to tell how good they really are. But, you are probably right about them. LSU always gets overrated in every sport.

Been reading a lot of blogs about my Dawgs and so many UGA fans are delusional. So many stupid comments. Several want Richt gone now or if we lose next week. Many comments about how poor tackling and no intensity just like last year. Some of these same fans are making us look bad. Some where saying we would be playing in the SECCG and now already writing this season off. I for one have been saying that I can't get a feel for how this team will be until I see them play. Well now I can see the talent, but it's up to the coaching staff to make the adjustments to improve as the year goes on. I saw some improvement, more intensity and better tackling. I know there was some missed tackles, but thought it was better than last year. My problem with last night was no pass rush. Yes the secondary was getting burned but it doesn't matter how good they are, if a qb has enough time he will hit someone. I am on the fence about Richt but let him have the whole year to play out, we have a lot of talent but we are young. But again the big issue I have with Richt is when things go bad and they show him on the sideline with a smile or smirk on his face. I mean it's ok Mark, get mad sometimes.

The bottom line is, we have enough talent to win, it's up to the coaching staff to make it happen. I'm not convinced at this point that they can. :(

I disagree about the tackling. It was just as bad as it's been the last couple years. They don't know how to wrap up. They throw an arm out or just dive at the offensive player without wrapping their arms around them. That's why there are so many missed tackles. That, and taking a bad route to the ball. I saw examples of both of those SEVERAL times last night. The lack of a pass rush was really disturbing. Apparently they took all the blitzes and threw them out of the playbook. With Justin Houston gone, someone has to step up and get to the QB. It's not even that the secondary was getting burned. None of the passes were downfield. Everything was 10-15 yards. Why? The coaching staff called zone after zone after zone after zone after........and the middle was wide open on every play. All they had to do was call some sort of crossing route and they had a wide open man EVERY play. Then, when the Boise line would LET them into the backfield, they got so antsy and excited that they finally got past them, they forgot to look for the screen. The one time we really hit him, he threw a pick. What really made me mad was the lack of a hurry up offense in the last 5 minutes. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me trying to cover for Richt. A lot of it the problems I saw last night was because of coaching mistakes. So, in my opinion, the whole staff needs to go. I've been saying for years that Bobo has to go. I could call a better game than him.

Now I want BSU to win the National Title so we can at least say we lost to the eventual champions . If we don't beat SC next week, there's no chance we win the East, let alone the SECC. I'm usually against firing a coaching staff mid-season, but if we aren't above .500 by the UT game, go ahead and get rid of him and find someone to replace him so he can get a head start on next year. I saw a shirt while I was at The Dome that said "Now's the time. We signed the class, so coach em up right, and get after that ass". We have the right players, they just need someone to put them in the right situations.

There are 8-10 SEC teams that could go undefeated with the BSU schedule. They beat Georgia straight up, but it pisses me off that they have a cakewalk to NCG contention now. I'm more pissed at Georgia for losing that game than I was at VA Tech last year or Oregon the year before that.

The problem with that plan is that you won't find a good coach in the middle of the season. If you fire the current staff, you'll put in some stop-gap until at least the end of this season, maybe longer. Now, you could announce (like Bama did mid-way through the 2000 season) that the coach wouldn't be the coach next year, but that's not going to help recruiting either.

Stay the hell away from Kirby Smart, too!

(Actually, Bama's coach resigned half way through the 2000 season. Same difference, I guess.)
