Great win for my Sun Devils over USC...! 43-22
ASU defense stepped it up this game and our offense was just as solid, SC had some tough breaks that the Devils took advantage of. Fear the Fork!

    holy crap

    jumped from 21 to 13

Hold your horses boys and girls...Clemson's biggest test I believe comes this saturday in Blacksburg...#11 VT at home...at night

May be the biggest game of the weekend?

Looking at it right now, does anyone have a harder schedule? Defending national champs (ranked #21 at the time), #11 (and considered a NT contender) FSU, currently #11 VT in Blacksburg, currently #21 GT in Atlanta, and currently #10 SC in chicken town

Another lackluster win by the gamecocks. Glad we won, but this QB situation is really going to be an issue. Four interceptions in one game. I do not know what is up with Garcia. Is he having emotional issues - not trying to be funny here but he seems to lack focus and be just going through the motions. I want USC to win, but not at the cost of a young man's well-being. The coaching staff and family need to see what is going on with him. He just doesn't seem to be "right".

At least the defense showed up. Looks like Ellis Johnson had a good game plan and executed it well. Auburn will be more of a test than Vanderbilt and with the way Miss St, Florida and Clemson are playing, the rest of the season could get ugly unless Garcia can pull himself together.

IMO I dont believe Garcia to have anything "up" with him...he's been spotty his entire career with a handful of moments of brilliance that are more than likely the result of a decent o-line and good receivers

I dont think anything is bothering him so to speak...but rather he is just a mediocre QB at best who has held your team back for the entirety of his career

Well it sounds like we're headed to the SEC. I'm excited about getting to visit some new stadiums.

I'd put Alabama's schedule up against yours...

We played @ Penn St, who was 23rd at the time (though I won't hang my hat on playing/beating PSU); #14 Arkansas just got their beat down; We head to the swamp to play #12 Florida this week... Then four bye weeks in a row (Vandy, Ole Miss, Tennessee & an actual bye week); then the brand new #1 team in the land comes calling. Finally, we have to visit the same defending national champs you just played at home, but by the time we play them they will have had a whole season to get their shit together. (Not that I think it will help them.)

IF we make it through all that and win the West, we'll have to play UGA/USC/Florida in the SEC Championship game.

Yes, I'm a bammer... and yes, our schedule is easier this year than it was last year (based on playing Arky and LSU at home, and swapping Vandy for S. Carolina as a rotating East team), but I'd still call it as tough as Clemson's.

    Welcome to the SEC West!

I want to go on record with my prediction for next year: You'll finish ahead of Mississippi and MAYBE auburn and MSU, but behind Alabama, LSU and Arkansas.

Now the countdown to #14 begins. We can't keep it at 13 teams for long, can we?

I'm with you. Garcia has always been a head case. He fell apart two years ago in Tuscaloosa in one of his 'usual' displays of ineptitude, then had the game of his life last year against Alabama at home. He's been in and out of trouble since he got to college, and I'm surprised that Spurrier has put up with his shit this long and keeps him around. I don't feel bad for him at all.

If we're lucky enough to get to Atlanta this year, and if SC makes it back to represent the East, I hope Garcia is still playing. After seeing how many times Arkansas' QB ended up on his butt this weekend, I'd LOVE to watch our defense beat his ass down.

Even the announcers in the game yesterday said that even though A&M is having one of their best years, they'd still be lucky to finish top 4 in the SEC West this year.

I'd say We'll play with 13 teams in '12, then have at LEAST 14 by '13.

I agree with that, but I think we have a good chance of beating Arkansas we will see Saturday though. We are not physical enough yet to be a top team in the SEC right now, and after Saturday we have a problem with turnovers. I think the LSU-Bama game will be the SEC Champ. game and the NC game this year.

That is a great strength of schedule. So far for LSU, we have played:
    #3 Oregon (netural site)
#25 Miss State on the road
#16 West Virginia on the road

Conference games up ahead (with current AP ranking):
    #12 Florida
    Tennessee on the road
    Auburn
    #3 Alabama on the road
    Ole Miss on the road
    #12 Arkansas

AND, if we win the West, we'll matchup with South Carolina/Florida/possibly even the dark horse Georgia in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.

As he said, welcome! You are joining the best football conference in the country.

Also as he said, you won't finish ahead of LSU, Bama, or Arkansas. My prediction is that TAMU wins the state of Mississippi and takes a W in a SECe matchup as well. I haven't seen the schedule yet, but I could see them controlling the field against UK, Tenn, and Vandy at least until halftime. We'll have to see if the finishing skills improve. ;)

You seem like a nice guy for an aggie so I will be nice when I say this.
Out of all the years y'all have been in the big XII you haven't built a team to consistantly compete here what makes y'all think you will do any better in the SEC? I believe last season was your first winning season in the last 8-9 years. Your 38-39 in the bigXII south. Two years ago you only had 2 televised games and one of those was against Texas.
Aggies are truly delusional with all their tradition talk and living your glory days which lasted for a few years in the late 70s and early 80s.
I almost feel bad for you but then I remember your an aggie and just laugh about it.

WellI appreciate the “nice” talk, but as for my reasoning it’s mainly aboutcoaching. A&M has made some bad choices recently the worst being Fran. NowI know some people don’t think Sherman is that great, but I think he has done agood (not great) job in turning the program around from where it was when hecame in, which was horrible. Considering this is his first half senior group ofrecruits and the amount of talent we have now as opposed to then and how wellthe athletes fit into his system, I think we will get better. Of course none ofthis is proven yet so we’ll have to wait and see.

Don’tfeel bad for me! Aggie grads earn more on average, so no reason to pity us :D

Look at his pic. He seems kinda fragile. He never says anything bad. And he's probably a bit slow being an aggie and all. Si I didnt cuss at him one time in my post or call him any names.
Thats about as nice as I can be.
