I'd rather give the dealer a chance to do good first. Also, they have contacted Toyota for me with the complaint.

It takes it a little while to settle down, it won't remain that high for long. There will be a rake though.

I just had mine done last week so it hasn't settled much. I can notice it though.

2011 TRD off road, went to dealer and called Toyota. No help from either, Toyota stated they had to get a request from dealer, dealer states they cannot find anything wrong. I can't even haul 400 to 500 lbs with this truck. Told them about TSB, and still no help.
I also have a fast idle, truck sometimes try's to launch out when brakes are applied. I can't even get this fixed.
Toyota and dealer have been a huge dissappointment.

I called the customer complaint department at Toyota, anyone have a different number to call ?

WTF! I hope you can get it taken care of, seems like alot has to do with the dealer, mine was cool to work with. I have also noticed the "surge" after brake is applied at stop. Seems to me like it is the engine dropping below idle at stop and then coming back up. Not to worried about it,but it does catch me off guard. I'll start a separate thread for it if you didn't already. Once the leafs come in and are installed I'll bring it up to my dealer and see what they say, don't want to jinx myself in the mean time. Good luck.

seems the surge comes standard with the truck, something to do with the AC clutch engaging. I started a thread and theres some more info there.

Hope your 4 leafs work out.
No such luck for me !
I will look into Lemon Law. This truck is supposed to haul a half ton and should not have engine rev when brake is on and try to lurch forward.

4 leafs done! Can tell in the ride and slight rake, feels good, rake doesn't bother me. Also, think it makes the seating position feel more better, can actually see over the hood more.

Looks good, you were lucky to get the TSB done, my Dealer stated they are going to look into it. Did you get shocks and springs (or just springs) ?
You can always adjust the front Bilstein shocks to get more clearance in the front if you wanted. I see you have the Off Road option and they have adjustable Bilstein shocks on the front.

Just springs for the TRD OR. On some other models the shocks get replaced. I have a copy of the TSB somewhere that shows all of the different scenarios, let me know if you need it. After driving some, I can really tell a big difference in a good way, feels more solid. Also, when i climb in the bed i can barely move it, and im 200lbs. Huge difference. hope you can get it soon, only a matter of time before they include the 2011's. BTW, not sure the fronts are adjustable, will have to look at that. Right now the rear is 1.5"-2" higher than it was yesterday.

I am pretty sure your fronts are adjustable, I believe the settings are .85, 1.75 or 2.5. Not sure on procedure to adjust, I think shocks have to come off.

Either way, if keep the same as it is now, its still a good modfication to have, especially for FREE> I like the look of it much better than stock.

Mine is... I had a 2005 with bad springs. I modified it and fixed it. The FIRST thing I did on the 2010 test drive was go over speed bumps that would have bottomed out the new 2005.

I now have 16,000 miles on the '10, with heavy loads on the new style 3 pack springs and the truck has never bottomed.

So, in my case... the new springs have been improved. I was told that all Tacomas coming from the Baja plant have the better springs.

Here is the number on my 2010 springs:

Eh I don't buy the 3 pack is improved one bit. They probably didn't bottom out because they weren't broke in yet.

I just got the 4 pack installed on my '10... night and day difference. Just towed 5300lbs too (and too much front bias, but that's how the u-haul car hauler works)... didn't even phase it. Actually, it just leveled the truck out and never came close to bottoming out on bumps. Without, it would have been near riding the stops. Ride even unloaded is 100x better too.

Also, mine came from Baja... the rear springs were soo soft even from the start on mine I thought I was driving a 1980 Cutless with the original suspension :/

Whatever you want to believe amigo... but I know they are different springs... my '05 bottomed brand new with back seat passengers or loads in the bed. My '10 (now 10 months old) has never bottomed under equal loads and conditions. I know the springs on it are much stiffer. I still have the Ride Rite Air Bags off my 2005 in case the '10 needed them... and it doesn't.

Did your truck suspension ever bottom out?

    Where was your truck made?

(I am trying to see if there is something valid to what I was told about the trucks coming from the Baja plant having the improved springs).
