my stock radios been replaced an it still doesn't work properly an lately doesnt seem to work at all. I notice the problem occurs in cold weather and in the early mornings when i leave work at 530. But when I start the car up at 9 when toyota opens whalah it works like magic. everytime i take it toyota they give me some bs that they couldnt find anything wrong with it an refuse to change it. is there a solution to this? will an aftermarket system fix it if its an wiring problem? i didn't pay 30k to have a truck without a radio.thanks

We have put 2 or 3 in the same vehicle.
Myself had to change mine with the same issues as yours.
It's to the point now that if someone complains about a glitch, we just change it.
It's a known fact the radios are junk.
As far as what you can do, call corporate and keep going back.
They know its an issue. I wish they could just fix them and make you guys happy without the red tape.
    Try another Dealer.

I bought a NOS Toyota stereo off of Ebay for a 2005 Tacoma (new) after the dealer tried 8 times to repair or replace mine! (The earlier stereos don't seem to be as flawed.) Toyota corporate sent me a check for the radio after I complained to them. There is a HUGE database of crappy stereos in Tacomas. Call Toyota Customer Care and ask them what you need to do. Once you've opened a case, the dealerships will bow at your feet.
