Hello all, I have a 2011 4x4 v6. My driveshaft snapped while driving due to a failed u joint, after replacing driveshaft I noticed a small leak from what appears to be rear main seal. Was this a result of the driveshaft dropping while I was driving??

If you are talking about the rear seal on the transfer case (transmission). Then yes, the driveshaft incident probably had something to do with the leak.

doubtful, that's two connections away from the RMS, clean it up and keep an eye on it to verify.

I am curious what OP is calling the rear main seal.

yeah maybe mistaken for the tcase output flange. That would make more sense given the driveshaft recently blew up lol

that is not a leak its a stain, wash it off and keep under observation, not related to drive shaft, definitely dont consider that a concern!

It didn't blow up just smacked my gas tank, dented my exhaust and cracked my charcoal canister. Probably sparked and look really cool maybe better if it did blow up

Not sure I agree with this. I've checked the back of my engine lately, where it meets the transmission and it doesn't have this 'stain'.
I do agree with "wash it off and keep under observation" but it looks like you might be seeping a little at the rear main.
Was it a result of the failed u-joint? I wouldn't think so.

Has anybody used or would anybody recommend a rear sealer stop leak? Am very hesitant to use.

That, I don't have any experience with. IF it's just seeping a little but never leaves a drop on the driveway, I'd just keep an eye on your oil level and monitor it for a while.
I'm not sure if rear mains will all of a sudden blow one day and then be a serious problem. If you had a manual transmission, I'd be concerned that it would eventually get into the clutch, but since your signature doesn't specify, I'll assume your transmission is an automatic.
Just for curiosity's sake, are you using conventional or synthetic oil?

Modern motor stop leak(s) contain plasticizers. YMMV. That is they designed to soften old/hard seals. If you have a concern try a high mileage motor oil they contain more plasticizers.

I wouldn't reccomend any 'stop leaks" or sealers, clean it off and monitor it. If it's just a seep and not dripping on the ground I wouldn't worry about it, if it's dripping when the engine is running or leaving a spot where you park then it should be addressed.
