Sorry if this is a repost. I was just screwing around on Toyota's site while bored at work (REALLY bored). This could just be the usual "Toyota's configurator sucks" but if you configure a Regular Cab, 4x4, Automatic Transmission...you get bucket seats and a center console. For everyone who's complaining about the bench seats (ONLY reason I got an Access Cab, test drove a Reg. and just needed an armrest and recline, bench sucked) this may be your chance. Assuming you're one of the brave ones to try the 4 banger slushbox. Any other configuration gets you the bench, even a 2WD auto.

Again, was bored thought someone might find this interesting.

I noticed this too the other day. Kinda random that they would do it that way.

they went back to buckets for 2010.... in 2009 you couldnt get any regular cab with buckets. 4x4 or sr5 or anything.

I thought even in 2010 you could only get a bench? For 2011 only the 4x4 auto gets buckets. Every other regular cab (4x4/man, 2WD/auto, 2WD/man) are all benches. Not tryin to sound rude or anything, just what I was noticing in my boredom, sorry if I'm mistaken.

Swendling: Probably the same as every other manufacturer...they seem to want to sell automatics instead of manuals...bastards:cool:

I saw this the other day too. I HATE the bench in my truck and an automatic would make things easier in my life (my wife could drive it then).

Almost no one rides in my truck due to them being 6ft tall and me being at least 3 inches shorter.

The bucket/console configuration was one of the primary factors in deciding to go with an auto in the reg cab I ordered. I've had 2 gen 2's with the bench, and I really didn't want another.

    I wanted a bench !

    I special ordered a 4 banger 4x4 5 manual with the bench because I
wanted a 5 manual and the ability to put 3 people in it if I have to.
And the manual to start by compression if the starter or battery goes.

It will be my fishing truck.
