Hey guys, I am in the market for a new truck as you all know and I was wondering if anyone knows when the 2011 will be out or when I could order one if I wanted to!

I am still unsure whether or not I want a 2010 or 2011 so I am just trying to do as much research as possible! Any information you know would be great!

If I do decide to get a 2011 I am going to wait till September or so and save up plenty of money to put a nice down payment down. If I get the 2010 it will be right before the 2011's come out since numerous dealerships will be trying to get them off the lot!

    Yeah, I gots boost
I don't think that the 2011 will have anything really new and or improved... But if you will have a nice solid down payment, and a re buying new anyway, why not go for the 2011?

    EDIT: VVV they're right

X2!! I mean unless you really cant wait 2 years. Then I would go for the 2010's cause I doubt that much will be different on a 2011. Plus I'm sure you will save some cash on a 2010.

Yeah, that makes sense too... gen 3... Do it. Your 1st gen will hold you over! You're gonna lose your ass on a second gen if you feel you need a gen 3 when it comes out.

Well, if they look anything like the new 4runner, the most obvious reason not to buy one would be that they're absolutely hideous to look at :)

Of course thats just my $ .02...

Just do a few little mods here and there just to keep you occupied until gen 3.

I own a 1st gen PreRunner. What are the common problems of the 2nd gen Tacomas? Just curious. Do they come out from the now closed NUMMI plant in Fremont, CA?
