When I turn the ac on a knocking noise comes from the under side of the motor towards the transmission. Only does this with the ac on. When you press the clutch in it will stop. When you idle up it stops. I'm not sure what this could be and so far it has a lot of mechanics I trust puzzled. Has anyone had this issue and what have you done to fix it?

i had a similar noise happening when a/c was on, it would be noticeable when driving but once i turned off the a/c it would stop. it was the cooling fan cover that broke of and was loose and the a/c pulley was hitting it.
