Cascading crossovers (which what happens when you use two crossovers on top of each other) introduces additional phase shifts, which could be partly to blame for the horrible sound. I would start with only using the head unit crossover just because it's easier to adjust while listening to music. Turn the amp crossover all the way up to the highest setting. I would also recommend putting your subwoofer level flat and EQ flat on your head unit, and using the amp gain to set level. You should really only be subtracting from the sound at the head unit (reduce subwoofer level or lower certain EQ frequencies), because adding signal is the easiest way to cause distortion. Especially if the sound processor quality is less than stellar. You can make small boosts to problem frequencies, but I would try to keep it less than a couple of dB. If you find that a certain frequency needs to boosted dramatically for a better sound, then cut all other frequencies and increase head unit volume knob or amp gain accordingly.

Also make sure your subwoofer and mids phase are set properly (if you can). I start with disconnecting the sub and play a beat heavy track with just the mids. Flip the phase on one of the mids and see if the music sounds better and punchier. If it does then leave it alone, if not, switch back the phase. Then connect your sub and listen to the same track. Flip the phase on the sub and see if it gets better. Leave the phase on which ever sounds better.

Judging from the amount of boost you have on your sub frequencies, I'm suspecting you're having phase issues or the amp gain is set too low.

    good luck!

Getting better! If i can just turn the gain up on the amp without distortion i think ill have the bass set!Got the level flat and the crossover all the way up on the amp,The headunit crossover is at 80hz for the sub,The high pass for the 4 channel is at 100 hz...Bass boost on the headunit is 0,Subwoofer level is at 0.

Yeah, why not? It's WAY more control. The simpler the better though IMHO - as in either head unit or amp-mounted.

You should prolly up your battery ground. Make it the same gauge as your power wire.

Nope, ive always read that you should have the same size wire for both. If you are running high amps through the battery it should also be grounded at the same capacity. Just make sure you arent bottle necking anything with the factory 8 gauge or what ever it is.

You're around 900W right? 900W/13.5V~67A ignoring efficiency. So call it 80 amps balls out. How much extra capacity is available in the 2nd gen? Using extra lighting, etc?

Processor? Change the head unit to maybe a PRS80? Gobs of directions to go here though. Gobs.

Models with the tow package come with 130 amp alternators i believe they pull about 60 amps before mods. Technically you are over already and should prolly go with a high out put alt. I could be wrong please correct me if i am.

I'd say he's fine with the alternator. That 80 amp estimate is at full-disco. Won't hurt to evaluate the stock wiring though.

I have no double DIN recommendation for you...wish I did. I want one too. I understand there are no decent DSP-capable double-DIN head units...at least in a reasonable price range. But think of all the mentos you can squeeze into the pocket below your fancy new single DIN :D
