Hi, I'm a newbie on TW but a veteran Tacoma owner. I'm on my 4th Tacoma, which is a 2011 base model with 4.0L V6 and 5AT. It has 88K miles on it and has developed the dreaded frozen e-brake disease. I was somewhat surprised that this occurred, since it was an ongoing issue with my '98 Tacoma Limited. it's 13 years later and Toyota still hasn't resolved this issue??!! After searching the net it looks like this is an issue regardless of the year of manufacture. No recall on this?? At any rate, I need to fix it and I'm having trouble finding a good how-to video on the web. Mine has the e-brake pedal left of the brake pedal, not the pull handle or console lever. Not sure if that matters much, but I want to have a video with the same setup if possible so I'm fixing apples to apples. Any help with this or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
