I have 2011 with JL factory setup, I added an additional 8" sub by tapping into the output side of the amp wires from the factory sub. Worked great!

I wired a JL Audio microsub with built-in amp to the output of the OEM amp. It was the only way to make it work.

I even contacted ********* to see about purchasing one of their setups, they do not offer anything that works with the oem jbl audio.

Originally only wanted to replace the factory sub and leave everything else stock. No one new how to do that successfully, so I added the additional sub and it worked great.

I need to take it to the audio shop and have them adjust the settings on the new sub, it sounds good. Both the subs are ran mono.

Its not a 10" or 12", but that little microsub sure packs a punch.

Another option would be to remove the factory sub but leave the amp, tapping the outcoming amp wires.

As long as all those plugs remain plugged in on the amp the JBL system will work
