I want to disable the seatbelt chime/ alarm. I know there have been posts about this before but I am having trouble finding anything that works on my 2011. No need for the obligatory "just click it in" response, I use it most of the time. I tried method with the odometer but it would not work for me. I also tried calling my dealer but they said they can't help me. Anyone get it done at their local mechanic? Any idea how they did it? What did it cost?

If you have the Late 2011 model with the white gauge face you will need to connect with the Techstream Software to silence the seat belt chime. Take it to the dealer or buy a cheap knockoff Techstream from ebay.

Take out the gauge cluster, on the back is the speaker. Remove it, never have a beep issue again. I hate the stupid beeps it made all the time.

Some don't want to do irreversible damage.

It is just as easy to get it turned off. I haven't heard mine beep since week 1 of ownership.

I can however reactivate it if I decide to sell.

Mines a '15 so it might be different, but I just went to the dealership and they turned it off for both the drivers seat and passenger free of charge. You might try just driving it in to the service department and talking to the guy who would actually be doing it.
