2011 tacoma v6 exhaust?

    11 tacoma v6 TRD sport pkg
    looking to put in an exhaust on my new 2011 tacoma TRD sports package. v6. looking to go with a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out. have a few questions, wat size muffler do i need. inlet? outlet? talked to a local exhaust shop said 3" inlet may void my warranty- too much backpressure would set off check engine light. give me ur guys opinions. or if u know any good shops in honolulu.
