    I recently purchased a 2011 trd off-road 4x4 it’s higher mileage 250k I’ve been working a lot of kinks out.
Currently the abs and traction control lights are on
The rear diff doesn’t even try to engage, light doesn’t even flash

I have check every fuse twice I have tried to read abs codes using the obd2 port pins 4 and 13 I can’t get it to pull any codes.( it’s like it has no codes )
I have a feeling the rear diff lock not engaging is due to abs light on also the atrac atrac doesn’t light up either.
Also the inverter doesn’t light up or turn on I have check all relays and fuses
    Any one have any ideas.
    Thanks.

The ABS lights won't affect the 4wd system, the locker and A-Trac only work in 4L but the locker light should still flash if you hit the switch.

Did you look under the truck and see if the locker is there?

    Switch plugged in?

It wouldn't hurt to put the truck up on ramps or jack stands, and crawl or roll around under it looking at speed sensor wires, plugs to actuators, vent tubes (they like to split over time where they are stretched over their respective nipples), etc. You can learn a lot just by thoroughly inspecting things.
Have a look and see if anything is suspect.

I have looked around at all the abs wheel sensors on all 4 corners. They all look fine.
Yes it does have the locker. The Locker light turn on a slip second when the key is first turned on.
I have not checked to make sure the switch is plug in. But would really surprise me this is a bone stock truck one owner so it not really been messed with but I will look at that.
Its just strange the following does not work.

    -Rear diff
    -Atrac
-Inverter ( No lights on switch have checked all fuses and checked plugs on the inverter)
    - ABS and Traction control lights on
-TPMS Light on ( This is minor i dont really care about it)
I had to solder the 4x4 actuator to get 4x4 to start working it now engages in low and hi
I still have my trusty gen 1 taco I was going to upgrade to this nicer gen 2 but im second guessing myself now.

I'll have to look at diagrams later and see if they share any grounds or anything but I don't think they do.

So i inspected all the abs wheel sensor. I tested that i have power 12v at all the abs plugs at all 4 corners i guess i wanted to make sure the harness and wiring was ok. That all check out ok.
As far as the the rear locker light and power inverter lights.
I have took the dash apart to make sure they where plugged in that all looks good.
I don't know if i am messing with 2 different issue such as or if the abs is causing the rear locker to not work or if i have some sort of ground issue going on..
    Any help or suggestion?

As stated you need to be in 4L for the rear locker to engage.

Yes i am aware. The locker light does even flash or blink.
The only time i see locker light is for a split sec when key is turned on.

I'm sure @Dm93 will be back with some troubleshooting procedures. If not I'll dig into some schematics to help diag but he's usually on it.

Srry I forgot to check back in on this, I lose track of all the threads I'v replied to on here.
Can't really find anything all that has in common aside from the IG1 No 2 fuse but if that was blown or missing you also wouldn't have a blower and the alternator wouldn't charge.

I don't really have time to go through this right now but here's some diagrams to get you started.

I don't think the rear locker would be affected by the ABS.
Pretty sure the ABS is disabled in 4LO anyways?

I dig into the diagrams and see if I can help.

    Do you have scan tool?
It'd be nice to see if you have a speed signal on a 4 wheels.
Power to the sensor doesn't mean anything.
The Inverter is affected by the a speed signal. But I think only for the 100/400w setting.
The light should still come on.

Does the actual switch button not light up at anytime?

Did you shoot the plugs on the inverter or just look at them? Should have 10-14v at pins 1 and 2 on L2 connecter with ign on

Not necessarily, if the inverter isn't providing a ground to pin #2, you will not see 12v.

Not the inverter side. Harness side pins 1 and 2 on L2 connector

Hmm I may be wrong on the I.d. it's the 2 pin connector on the inverter. There should be a 2 pin and a 12 pin.

Ok. That is the V9 connector. And it should have 12v between the two.
If OP doesn't have power there. I'd test the 2 with a test light to known good powers and grounds.

    UPDATE
Ok. I made some progress last night. I starting messing with truck i took the driver side kick panel off and i was inspecting wires and mainly looking at the ground bolted to the pillar i continued to root around and out of the corner of my eye i see the inverter switch light up.. couldn't pin it down what was loose till i found what i believe is the la2 connector mostly green wires there is a bunch of connecters going into a block type box i believe it was loose. One of the green wires was also broken.. I don't know how this happened but was hopeful it was going to fix some of the issues.
I solder wire back and cleaned plug with qd cleaner and plug it back in.
I now have a working rear locker and inverter! Thank you guys for the help!!

I still have ABS light on
I read the code by pining the OBD2 and have able to pull code 32 I reset the code but it came back. I swapped ABS sensor front to rear. Still throwing code 32. Checked for continuity on harness all that check out ok.
So i was looking at the maintenances receipts i have from previous owner they had put a driver side cv and also replaced the hub bearing. I have no idea what brand.
Is it possible that the hub is causing the abs code?
