2011 TRD Sport - Steering popping noise

    I notice a strange noise coming from somewhere under the dash that makes a popping noise (kind of sounds like someone is tapping on the plastic underneath the steering wheel) when turning the steering wheel. I did a test and adjusted the tilt of the steering wheel down and then tried turning the steering wheel and guess what no more popping? :confused:

    Any ideas on what could be the cause?
