Does the TSB Leaf Spring Upgrade apply to a 2011? I Just bought one and it only has three leafs in the rear.

Just call up the dealer and tell them that it's bottoming out at 600lbs in the bed of the truck, and you'll find out real quick. My 2010 that I bought a month ago had the 3 leaf pack thatt didn't hold shit

Depending on the dealer you might have trouble getting it done. My dealer wouldn't do it until Toyota added the 2009's to the TSB. Then they ordered the parts without even looking at the truck.

Did the dealer do TSB? If so, who did it?

I'd call Toyota directly and complain about it then call the service department of dealership where you bought it. The more Toyota hears about it directly the sooner it's likely they add the 2011's to the TSB. Good luck.

Yea if it's not shown in black & white that 2011's are included in the TSB then I would take a good guess that the dealer would refuse to honor it since they technically would not get compensated by Toyota for the parts and labor. Hopefully the TSB gets updated to include 2011's as well.

I just called the dealership that I bought it at and they wouldnt help. He said they had to inspect the truck, call Toyota, and then wait ... Called a second dealership and they said "ok", but I still had to bring the truck in to get looked at to "see what parts to order".

I have a feeling this is going to be a pain in the ass. Anyone have that 1-800 number (I have seen it mentioned, but not the actual number". Thanks.

Ugh. So the dealer called and said he got the parts. I wanted to confirm that the only thing being changed was the rear leaf springs and he said no. He tried to tell me that the shocks needed to be replaced .. keep in mind I have the TRD .. Apparently he didnt understand page 3 of the TSB .. he read the Note, and thinks it means only the non TRD has good shocks and the TRD needs them

Can someone please confirm I am not going crazy.

According to the TSB, the non TRD 2009-2011 already have the upgraded shocks.

Just had the TSB done on my 2011. They did take it back and "look at it", but had no problems doing it afterward.

They also were smart enough to read the TSB and know that my TRD did not need the shocks replaced.

I am not sure why this dealer thinks the TRD needs upgraded shocks.

Just got mine done with no new shocks, which is what the TSB calls for.

I don't have a TRD. Dealer said because I DON't have a TRD, therefore, no new shocks.

They did ordered the shocks and said they would install them when I first had it diagnosed.
