I Just purchased a 2011 OR DC PR, was told by toyota that the 2011 have the same rear leaf springs as the 2010. I have been calling my local dealers here in metro atlanta and none of the dealerships seem to know about the TSB leaf spring issue on Tacoma's. Anybody know how to speed this process up or any dealerships that are TSB friendly in the atlanta area? I use this truck for work and need to use the full claimed payload that I purchased without any side effects or safety issues. Help Please!

You could load it and and take it to a dealership and complain about it's performance and show it to them.

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like the 2009+ stock 3-leaf rear springs are stiffer than the previous years.

It would probably be a good idea to call the Toyota line and calmly open a case. State exactly what you are experiening and let them know that Toyota has issued a TSB to correct the issue for customers that experience this problem. Let them know that on January 4, 2010 a TSB Revision was issued to include the 09 and 10 models. Tell them the ride is very harsh and not the safeist thing to be driving under a load. They may act on this and have a dealership repair center call you. Maybe not though. But at least you will now have a case number and your complaint will be documented. Also check your VIN and part numbers to make sure they comply. They may not but could be added with a future revision. But they may already be listed.

I bought an 09 in July of 09 and my VIN and parts numbers matched. However my model year wasn't added until the beginning of 10. Good luck.

PS: I had mine done and I am very glad I did.

Had issues with my 09 3 leaf pack & got it replaced with the 4 leaf under TSB so no I don't think so.

Called and opened a case with toyota, there seems to be a disconnect between toyota and the service dept. The TSB 4 leaf replacement seems a little scandalous on toyotas part. Toyota customer service told me that they dont sell them with the 4 leaf pack because 90% of ppl who buy Tacomas dont really use them as a truck and prefer the soft ride. If thats the case then they should educate you and give you the option when you purchase it new from the dealership or find a compromising spring. Right? Ill keep pressing the issue with toyota and hopefully ill be the first 2011 with the 4pack. Thanks for your help.

please keep us updated with this. I live near atlanta and have a 2011 as well that i would like to have the 4 leaf installed. When you find a dealership that does it, i'd love to hear which one it is.

hey Range, any update in your situation?

My dealer is trying to tell me that they've contacted Toyota and the 3-leaf pack on my 2011 is updated and stronger, despite carrying over the old part number. I want to call BS, since they look exactly the same as everyone's 3-leaf pack. I plan on calling Toyota directly tonight, but it would be nice to get some confirmation from other owners as well.

After 5 calls to toyota, I have an appointment to get my 2011 inspected. They said there just going to look at the part numbers and see if they are the same as previous years. Toyota already told me they were the same leaf springs as the 2010's. So ill post what they tell me.

Dropped off my 2011 TRD OR DC PR to have the inspection done, and when i picked it up they had already put the 4 leaf pack on. Kept the bilsteins on and its ALOT stronger, I can already tell a big difference. Def would get this done if you dont have it. Heres a pic, its all stock keep in mind.
