What does everyone else think? Change our next meet to a fall moab trip?

...for me it would depend on the date and difficulty...

I hate the heat and I don't have the right mods for what I'd like to do. I need to get suspension, sliders, bumpers, and armor on so I can get past the ledges and bumps that have hung me up before.

Its such an awesome place that I would try to be there any chance I get - its just so irritating to see fabulous sights a mile away and not be able to get to them... you know.

I sort of have a goal set to get past a couple of specific obstacles that require much better departure and approach angles than my stock TRD has.

Still, I would never turn down a chance to visit the slickrock with like minded people... H

Truth is its close enough and big enough and fun enough to justify lots of trips there.

It will really depend on when I can get my sliders and suspension done. Its all ordered, but you know how fab'd things take a while to make...

It would really depend on dates due to work. I could probably pull off something for October pretty easy. September probably wouldn't as I have a project due that month (if it gets approved soon).

Not sure, but I would guess October/November-ish. Of course Utah's weather is quite bi-polar anyway, so no one really can say until there's clouds overhead.

Talked to slickrock buddy and he says November is perfect. He also told me to suck it up and eat the dust (to put it nicely).

Also agrees the spring is great, but warned to watch out on rainy days - he's seen a fair number of slide offs when wet. He's likely to busy with his racing, family, and job to help with guiding - but I left the offer open.

Think I'll join the Red Rock 4 Wheelers - $40 to a good cause because they do a lot of work to keep Moab open for us - and a lot of work to maintain the area. They might be able to give us some help since they run the Jeep show on Easter.

Time to watch the British Grand Prix... H

Makes me wish we still had winters like we used to... It sure has been a long time since we've really had a good deep winter. Maybe this year.

I'm glad I found this thread...been wanting to go to Moab. Are you guys still torn between November 2010 and May 2011? Or is it already set for May? Whatever the case I'll keep an eye out...sign me up!
