    Have you guys considered doing the White Rim loop (approx 100 miles)? Its In the Canyon Lands NTL Park. It would be really fun, I do it on my mtn bike every year. Here are some pics:

    Referring to the 3rd pic down of the switchbacks. I believe that that recently collapsed so you can't do the whole loop. I think you can do part of it and back track. I'd look into it if I were you.

    Maybe not. I could have sworn I saw that same exact place collapsed. Maybe I was dreaming. I can't seem to find it.

    I saw this in person hours after it happened on Aug. 19th.. the pictures just don't do it justice.

    A friend and I will be doing the White Rim trail by bike next may, hopefully completely unsupported (yes, we know the dangers, we are also quite experienced).


    It's also quite a fun and beautiful trail for vehicle travel, I took my Subaru on it (only about 30 miles out, starting at the Schaefer trail) two years ago, great fun, and only a few rocks made contact (and dings) to my undercarriage!

    Yeah, "peddle" bike, aka mountain bike. We would do it late April/Early may, at that point the wind is a greater concern than temps.
