If this thread is verboten, please delete. I own a 2011 Tacoma Doublecab, Speedway Blue/Gray, 46K miles, TRD Offroad, JBL sound, Undercover bed cap, 4.0 V6/5spd auto, practically every option but 4x4. Purchased it new but now that I'm retired, it rarely gets driven. Looking at prices online, I see values from $20,400 loan value (wholesale?) to $22,500 average retail. Since my Taco only has 46K miles, it should be worth at least the average,,right? My local dealer has called me every few months, trying to purchase it, but I always passed. A few days ago, they called and offered $17,500, sight unseen, but would offer more if it was nice.
What do you owners think about this?

Sell it yourself the dealer will rip you off. They are hot sellers and as soon as you put it for sale you will get tons of phone calls

Sell it privately for maximum value. Post an add locally or on Craigslist and you're bound to sell it for what you're asking.

Dealer will always try to get you under what they'll try to retail it for.

Try CarMax for a free appraisal.

You can put the dealer offer as your fall back option. $19-21K is what I would pay for it. You will get about 10% real customers on CL and 90% scammers (made up #'s). Be safe GLWS.

Thanks for all the input. I'm not in a huge hurry to sell it so I'll probably wait till I get enough posts on this site and then put it in the classifieds.

The dealer will give you $17,500 for it,and then sell it for $22,000 the next day.

The Addons don't really do much for the value of the truck. If you sell the truck, remove all those and sell them afterwards on here or online.

I have no plans to wholesale it to a dealer. Advertised it yesterday on FB and have an interested party coming to see it, Saturday.
    Priced it at $21K.

You say it's 4x4 in the OP but it's actually not looking at the picture..

    Nice looking truck either way

Edit: I read your post incorrectly....looks like you meant it's not 4x4. My bad
