    I cant remember the last time I adjusted the power seat in my Ram. Set it and forget, though power is handy if theres more than one driver. Not my case.

    but know of any threads with good 2005-2011 underhood pics? I remember what I saw, and could compare
    Weird electronic contraption on top of the inner fender. Looked connected to something else down by the manifold, and seemed to have a vent to atmosphere or purge valve of some type on top. Could be mistaken.

    I guess you could call it that. Looks like it pulls air from the right front fender. Most vehicles pull in relatively cool air nowadays, either from inside a fender or up behind the headlight or grille area.
    I think the consensus is that the only worthwhile intake mod is replacing the oem filter media itself.
    The droppable rear headrests...why'd they do that? I would just remove them. Are they needed to help support the seatback when you drop it down?
    I will use the 40% side of the 60/40 rear split (which looks like they moved to behind the drivers seat now. I think the 2011 had the 60% part behind the driver) to carry my set of toolboxes etc. Probably build a shelf system out of wood back there to help organize things. I hate it when all my stuff just gets thrown back there.
    Hopefully I'll never get crushed by flying circular saws in an accident. On that note, I cant stand the bed-toolboxes. They take up too much room, and they are an invitation to every jerk out there to crowbar it open so they can hock your expensive power tools for a crack rock.

    I know it wont...but I will add at least 10 when I peel off those TRD stickers.

    off topic, but...
    I took a close look at a new 4runner today in my parking lot at work, and Im sorry, but I think it is butt ugly.
    If the 2014 or 2018 or whatever tacoma is going to look anything like it, I probably wouldnt buy it. As it is, the 2012 tacoma headlights have that squared off corner bulge in them which looks ugly imo, and the new front end does make it look like theyre going in the 4runner direction, though overall I dont think the new front end looks bad...yet.

    just confirmed the pump I saw today is not in other underhood pics of 2008-2011s.
    Its a hideous looking thing mounted right in front of the abs controller, with lots of plumbing running down under to the exhaust manifold.
    Too bad :(

    Maybe by the time my warranty is up, someone will have a delete fix for this thing...wishful thinking.

    Yep, Toyota's making way to much money on the current model, so they can dump a little money each year into small cosmetic changes, mark up another few grand, and call it a day. Till sales start dropping, no new model for us I think...

    I'm not a 100% sure but I think that there might be a little difference in the suspension. I emailed ARB and here's what they sent me? I'm thinking that they might be just cautious though.

    we have not yet had the opportunity to verify the OME suspension on the revised 2012 Tacoma. We do own one and intend to test all the components in the next few weeks to make sure there are not any unknown issues. As a result we do not currently have a recommendation for your truck.

    Other than this "Baja Edition", I'm pretty sure the 2012 suspension is the same as the 2011 models.
