    Thanks for writing back. Being an industrial designer, I've had a few things patented. I signed some documents for the patents on one project suite in 2012, they just got patented this spring. Nearly three years after the products were already on the market in Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, QVC, and Amazon. In my professional experience patenting isn't usually worthwhile unless you're dealing a large volumes (many thousands) or super high cost items where the process is at risk of being outproduced by a foreign company which can undercut through economies of scale. It's extremely difficult (and expensive) to draft a patent which can't be sidestepped in some way. I've got my own business which I consult and sell industrial design through (Lakelife Design) so if you do want to discuss anything shoot me a PM. Anyway, I'm keep my eye on this thread because you do great work and I think everyone around here would like to see you become even more prolific!
