    I bought a OEM pro grille. Considered Considered the faux, but chose the OEM after all the controversy. Wasn't worth the minimal savings to me.

    At most it was less than $200 savings, and eventually became about $100.

    Financially I do fine, but aside from that, I don't see a point in being thrifty when accessorizing my nearly $40k truck. If I can't afford something, I don't buy it or I wait until I can afford it. I'm a firm believer in buy once, cry once.

    Regardless, I'm not criticizing anyone looking for a less expensive version of this grille. I was just looking to share the facts of history and other's experience with the faux grilles.
