I thought I'd share my experience lifting my 2012 Access Cab 4cyl 5spd. I ordered the 2.75 lift kit form Fat Bobs Garage using this link.

    https://4x4.fatbobsgarage.com/toyota-tacoma-2wd-5-lug-suspension-275-lift-kit--2005-2017-p7611.aspx

I went with the longer add-a-leaf.

I installed the kit on my own with standard tools and jack stands (be sure to use a torque wrench). The project was quite difficult, and took about 6 hours total. This kit requires you to rotate the strut 120 degrees, and the instructions do not explain how to do this. I ended up renting a spring compressor and forcing the strut to rotate by bolting in the top and leveraging the bottom.

I drove the truck to a local shop to get aligned and all bolts tightened down.

The old tires (first picture) were 215/75/15 General Grabber AT2's.

The new tires are 235/75/15 Cooper Discoverer AT3's.

I could have gone slightly larger on the tires, but i'm very happy with the look of the truck.

Let me know what you think.

Nice looking truck, I have basically the same truck except it's a 2011.
I also did the Fat Bob's leveling kit, though I wasn't brave enough to do i myself.
Questions? Are those Pro Comp wheels? Did the factory tire pressure sensor work with them?
    Thanks.

Nice, I’m also trying to figure out wheels, I want to go 245/75/16 tires but I don’t know what aftermarket wheels would fit like the wheels (5luggerlife) has.
