Looking to lift my 2012 Baja edition, what are my options, I've read on here that they are different from a normal Tacoma, wanting to go 3 inch higher, and at least up to a 285 70 17 with 5 inch back spacing, if these numbers don't sound right, let me know, this is my first taco, and not sure, what about a body lift, any thoughts are appreciated, I'm also going to put a winch bumper on it and skids, do i need beefier springs to accommodate the extra weight,

Pretty sure they are the exact same as a "normal" tacoma just with nicer suspension and other little things, just like a trd pro. I think... Just do a search on 3" lifts, tons of threads on it. Any suspension for a "normal" tacoma should work no problem.

If you plan on running 285s, plan on doing a CMC and other trimming. As for a wheel with 5" backspacing I have no idea, could cause a lot more cutting due to rubbing on 285s.

You will need a stronger coil for the weight yes. Call up headstrong offroad and talk to Marie, she'll take care of every question you have. What wheels do you plan on getting?

Havent made it that far yet, still looking at them, wanting to make sure the lift will work, I looked at a rough country lift and said it will not work on a tx/Baja edition so I came here and posted, thanks I'll give her a call

Do not do rough country. Waste of time, nor pro comp. Bilstein or OME are what you want, no spacers if you plan to actually offroad

Have been looking at this with my own Baja. Springs up front are 650lb, 1.75in higher, with no adjustment Bilsteins, out back is the tsb 3 + 1 spring, 10mm over stock? Going over 3" in the front, CV boot problems. Too much in the rear, drive line vibes, etc. For me, future holds ads coils in the front, already have icon ucas, and perhaps alcans in the back. Looking for a good ride at near or just slightly higher than what I'm at now.

For your equipment some 700lbs coilovers from manufacture of your choice would probably be ok. Probably will need ucas, LR makes an affordable option. Then out back, depends on what you haul or tow. Darkars are popular, allpro, wheelers, alcans, or even a 3 spring aal a are all reasonable options.
