Im disappointed that they didn't use 10" travel shocks in the rear. Should've been easy enough for them. I would say the truck would def be worth it then.

the leaf pack is the TSB pack.
    The TRDexhuast is cool tho.

I think the 9100'S is a typo because they are supposed to have a reservoir on the 9100's. They also did not custom valve the front. Only the 5160's in the back.
And from my understanding the baja doesnt have front reservoirs. Valving isnt that expensive. You can order them made from downsouthmotor sports.

I find it hard to believe trd didn't use their own valving for the front. Plus I read the fronts are a variant of a catalog bilstein, therefore not an off the shelf item.

Frankly alot of the Baja upgrades should come on the Trd package anyways. Instead you get junky trd billys that are not any better then the stockers. You get crappy tires that are supposed to be all terrian but they have nearly no traction. And why doesnt the trd package come with the trd exhuast? If i would have knowen better i would have gotten a SR5 and saved a bunch of money since i replaced most of the trd stuff anyways. The Baja package is just another way to bone you harder.

I love how people on this forum throw around the word "custom"

If 700 trucks come from the factory with the same specs, it is not custom

I dunno. I havent seen any information to support different. Surely they would have commented on the fronts more if they were special. They did for the back, why not the front?

I am sure that Toyota spec'd out the valving when they ordered all the shocks from Bilstein, that doesn't mean its anything special. And those front shocks are the standard 5100's with some eibach coils

My vote is against the Baja package. The extra $ you can have better goodies IMO

I wouldn't bother. If I could do it over I'd go with base model 4x4 in desired cab.

Spend the rest on air lockers and suspension.

I got my truck brand new for 29k out of the door.
I've spent between 2500-3000 (including shipping)on mods on my truck, that's including lift, alignment, mounting, wheels, and tires.

So buying a SR5, Base model, Sport, or Off Road and modding it how you want it > Baja Edition.

Dont waste your money. Unless you're dead set on a 2012, I'd buy a used -low mile 2010-2011 and put the rest of the money into a nice lift, wheels and tires.
