I'm pretty certain one is Johnson Controls, another is Exide I think? I have no clue on the third.

I think that one is slightly shorter than the stock 27F.

I just replaced mine with this...same size as stock.

I can't believe that the stock battery only lasted 2.5 years.

Based on all the feedback on the batteries - with my 2012 - I'm planning on swapping it out with a Maxx ever start at the first hint of problems - but soon this year anyway.

Also a comment for the newer guys here - all these blogs reference different years and engine sizes and the sizes/part numbers posted should be checked for comparability with your own rig/engine sizes.

Costco did not have my size so I had to go with a Sam's Club one.

Just remember the more cranking amps doesn't mean its a better battery. The more cranking amps the thinner the plates are in the battery which makes then fail faster. SMALLER cranking ams gives you thicker plates and the battery last longer. Don't over kill on cranking amps.

Johnson Controls (JCI) is by far the largest, Exide is second and East Penn (Deka) is the third. For branding information, please see the LEAD-ACID BATTERY MANUFACTURERS AND BRAND NAMES LIST 2015 on www.batteryfaq.org.
