Wuttup fellow TACO Guys & Gals…

welp yall were helpful with my last post about the Transfer Leak case question….UPDATE!!! I bought the 2012 TRD Prerunner low mileage - nice lift & tire pkg - Very clean - CLEAN title & NO MECHANICAL ISSUES……INSTEAD of the less expensive 2015 4x4 with TC Leak/alignment bs…….Except!!! On my ‘12 Taco ….. 1 lil’ Issue - Bluetooth Syncing

Tell me it’s something I’m doing & NOT that I have to new of a phone with an Antiquated radio system in this truck - Sales guy said it had it, but I can’t sync & I’ve only found 1 video … matching my stereo system…(hopn I don’t gotta do a BT adapter / or new stereo face)

ughhhh - HIT me with ideas upload_2024-2-22_14-10-45.jpg

I also have a 2012 prerunner and yes the factory radio does have Bluetooth. You gotta hit the talk button on the steering wheel and listen to the prompts if I'm not mistaken.

    Hey Jr.
I did….& gets to part where you’re supposed to enter in 0000, as code to sync….& nowhere in “MY DEVICES” or if I tap on Toyota Tacoma…. Does it either sync to my Tacoma or let me enter in the 0000 code - I tried several times

I had to use the voice commands to sync on my 2012. My code wasn’t 0000 thought, it gave me an actual code to input. Are you on iPhone or android?

What helped me most was first deleting all the old devices and phones connected to the car. After that, it was easier to navigate. Hope this helps!

Mines the buttons/CD face unit - wonder how much it’d cost & how hard to install a better Digital Touch unit & just update it

Ah, definitely take a look at the section of the manual I linked above, it'll apply to you. Start at page 4 if needed, and congrats on the truck!
Joying is a popular Android Solution, and you have good old Pioneer still knocking it out of the park.

I’m pretty sure the command would be
    “List Bluetooth Audio Players”
You should hear other people’s phone names ex: “John’s iPhone”
After that, I’m pretty sure you just either tell it specifically to delete “John’s iPhone”, or you have to individually select each one and then tell it to delete.
This is the factory stereo right?

I was using the wrong SETUP button…. There’s an actual setup button…& a SETUP option under #1 channel button …. I used the other one from what I was using & it Sync’d up …..

PRO TIP: don’t do things at night people

Hope you get it figured out man! It took me a few tries. The computer can seem to understand you if you’re from the south.
