2012 Climate Control Light Color

Hey all,

I snagged a set of 2012 climate controls thanks to another member here and I'm planning on sticking them in my 2008 truck. I originally changed my climate controls to have green AC and Recirculate buttons by soldering in new LEDs. If I wanted to do the same for the 2012 panel, would it be the same process or are there new bulbs to buy? Thanks!

Figured out the dials are illuminated white and the buttons amber colored. Would I be soldering in new bulbs to change them out?

The dials are in the mail, I suppose I'll find out soon enough haha.

 

PM Jerez. He might know since he does LED swaps. Not sure if he has torn into the 2012+ climate controls though.

I'm assuming that they would be plug and play LEDs because the 2012 model doesn't use the amber film to tint the color (hence the white background illumination), but definitely not sure.
