I m not just looking for the measurements on the Toyota site or off the internet.. Yes I also used the search function..

I would be considering a 2012 DCLB 4x4 TRD Sport

I am wondering how Toyota measures the overall length?

I have seen other MFG's measure w/o rear bumpers etc..

My reason for asking is I have a small one car garage and space is very limited. I don't want to put down $30K just for it to sit outside in Chicago winters.(Not quite Great White north but they still suck)

Has anyone been in this similar situation and been disappointed?

    Thanks in advance :D

    Roughly 20 feet long.

Mine will fit in an average garage as long as the hitch isn't on. It is VERY tight. Small garage you won't even stand a chance. If you don't think you'd fit an F350 in it, you probably wont fit the DCLB tacoma. They're long and take a bit to get used to driving.

That being said, I still wouldn't own a short bed... or an access cab :)

My Tacoma 2012 brochure lists the overall length of the DCLB as 221.3 inches and the DCSB as 208.1 inches. My 2012 DCLB with hitch easily fits in my garage, but garages are not standard sizes.

I believe they are measured to include the bumpers and all. I measured my garage to make sure my 208" DCSB would fit in my garage and I would say it's spot on. It fits, but with the shelves I have in there, the DCLB would not have fit.
