2012 door sill plates

has anyone installed a set of door sill plates on their trucks. I am looking into a set and found these

Does anyone have these and how are they or if not which do you use?

 

I have a '13 dcsb and installed the ones on the first photo real easy to do, got em on ebay for 20$ free shipping for all for doors. All it is is a plastic strip with really strong adhesive worth the money to save your paint from scratching. scuffing from going in and out

 

the first one is vinyl stick on. the second were the plastic ones so u have the plastic ones on the second link?

Have the vinyl ones as well and they do what they are supposed to

 

Get the ones in the second link. The Toyota one's don't protect the edge of the doorsill, where most of your nicks and scuffs happen. The AVS one's go down over the leading edge of the door sill and are cover more area if that makes any sense.

 

I have them (taco ones)… i didnt care for them, buy they came w the truck…. my son and friends are always steping on them w soccer cheats….. it does what its supposed to….

 

It makes sense. Mainly getting them when the wife jumps in shotgun with the heals. Or dog climbs in. Any protection is good. Will order second ones. Thanks guys

 

I've had both options. My '05 and '12 came with the vinyl ones from Toyota. I think they are junk. I eventually replaced them with the avs ones and they are way better.
