Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with their exhaust on the 2012 tacomas.

I recently took mine in because It sounded like something was loose in the catalytic converter and sure enough toyota took care of it but replaced my converter at a charge to toyota of over $2k ---

Thought the part was pricey but they took care of it for me at no cost cause of warranty.

Just seeng if anyone else has had the same issue which their catalytic converter ????

I have a '13 with a strage rattling sound coming from around the drivetrain area. It's intermittent, and I'm waiting until I can replicate it routinely myself before I take it in. It happens at low speed and can become louder if you decelerate at low speed (think taking off from a stop then letting off the gas). A lot of people on here have problems with their exhaust heat shields coming loose but I checked mine and they all appear to be ok. I'm going to shake the cat a bit and see if anything rattles inside. I really hope it's not something with the drivetrain...
