2012 Fog light anytime, fogs come on at random times

Hey all,

It's been a while since I did the mod that is listed on this site, but my fogs come on randomly for a minute or two while the truck is off.

The method i used was to run a wire in the fuse box under the hood, and fold a relay tab. It's been a while so I don't recall pin numbers.

If you know what I'm talking about, please let me know what the fix is. I believe I read that someone else had the same issue and I didn't see a response to their question which is the same as mine. Thanks

 

mine has done the random turn on for years after I did the mod. Happens when the truck is not running and just sitting there. It has something to do with the computer is running some kind of program, I think it was emissions related, and what we do with the fog light anytime mod just happens to be the same circuit somehow. Pay it no mind and get used to the random person telling you your fog lights are on.....

Mine did the same thing on my 05 mod
4yrs of people telling me my light are on
Just got a 14 prob do the same mod

 

Some dude came pounding on my door last night at 830 to tell me they were on. I may have to undo the mod.

 

I think if you turn the fog switch off they don't come on
I could never remember to do it
Across from my house is a dark parking lot, one night really late they came on and freaked out my neighbor who was walking his dog
