I have a AC cab without fog lights and I want to install some. I looked on eBay for OEM parts and there are a few. Any suggestions would be great. I think I like this kit because it looks like factory.

Second question. Amber or White and why?i have a black truck, amber would look good. Thanks.

    Meh...

Amber headlights is the ricer thing.
Amber fogs used to be the standard... white narrow beam for driving lights and amber "band" beams for fogs.

OEMs started going to clear in the late 80s to reduce cost and clear fogs have kinda become a standard.

Just keep away from the yellow or 3000k HID headlights and it'll look and work wonderfully, and IMHO, the amber fogs reduce the glare to oncoming traffic.

OP, can you please post where you've found amber fog lamps on eBay?

The only sets I can find are yellow, not amber.

That being said, the beam pattern on the fog lights for the Tacoma are that of a fog lamp, not a driving lamp, so I'd recommend the yellow bulb for inclement weather. If our lights were auxiliary driving lights, I'd say stay white.

If you are not crazy about the yellow lenses, you can always go clear with a yellow bulb.

On my old pickup I ran white headlights, 130w Daylighters on the ARB with a driving beam pattern in white for night driving w/o oncoming traffic on backroads and a set of Auto Zone 4x6 yellow fog lamp bulbs for bad weather. The high powered white light was nice for distance, and the yellow filled in the gaps.

On my STi I have OEM HID which is nice in 99% of circumstances except bad weather in which the rain/snow washes out the HID completely. For awhile I had a custom mount housing 2 Hella 500 Amber (Yellow) lamps with a fog lens pattern. Again, these were great in bad weather to illuminate what is directly in front of you.

On my Tacoma I'm running stock headlight bulbs (frankly they're quite good for what they are, I'd maybe upgrade to a higher lumen output bulb if I found something suitable, but I'm not going with a coated bulb or HID unless it's a proper retrofit), and Nokya Yellow bulbs in the fogs. It has nothing to do with the "JDM" scene (been there, done that), but it just works in bad weather. It's been really rainy in the Northeast as of late and the wide/flat beam pattern is a great match for the yellow bulbs IMHO.

    I apologize for the long-windedness.

    That's it.

I suspect there is only one manufacturer of aftermarket fog housings, as they all have the same or similar artwork on eBay, and they all seem to be hit or miss as to whether or not they will leak, and if they leak, the reflector will corrode quickly.

I'm on the fence regarding color. I have regular bulbs in my fogs now but had yellow in for awhile and liked them too.
