    If you can come up with another way to engage 4wd drive you would be the man. Because the ADD on the 4x4 suck ass. IF you do use the add i would solder the contact points in the device.

    if he did find another way wouldnt it be more expensive? im thinking if he did do that wouldnt he have to get a custom transfer case instead of just picking one out from a junkyard or T

    I don't know all the details yet but I plan on tapping into the vast knowledge base on TW. But I do know it can be done and if you take your time and find deals it can still be relatively inexpensive.

    there couple ppl back east that have the FJ Transfer case and mt 6.

    From what I've read the FJ case is being used by lots of Tacomas as a kind of upgrade for the manual shift.

    haha kudos to you for doing this. Ive found myself in a similar rut but I don't have as much mechanical experience. thought id just pick parts up over time while modding my prerunner. I just love my taco too much to trade.
