Removed all badging to this point
Going to have surgery soon and will have to come home in a leg brace and at 6'4"+ this will not be an easy trick. Has anyone removed the front passenger seat from a 2012 Tacoma? Is it 4 bolts and one plug or is there
a problem with disarming the air bag? Do not want to get popped in the back of the head while removing that puppy.

The SRS System will fault when it does its self test and the SRS system will not deploy in a crash. In other words it will not work and it might require a trip to the dealer to have it reset.

    Yup

    Note:
When you remove the bolts from the seat mount, put a sock over each of the front brackets, and fold the seat forward. This helps protect the dash from scratches. If the brackets get within 2mm of the dash, the dash will scratch.

He should be OK. I pull the passenger seat on my 12 whenever I take it to to vacuum the dog hair and detritus out of the truck.

It will throw a code, but that goes away once you reconnect the seat.

YMMV, of course, but I haven't had any problems.

Wow! Just realized a new benefit of Access Cabs - you can take the seats out without beating up the rest of the interior...I like it.

Wow! Thanks for all the help Tacoma Folks. Have the plan ready to put into action and ready to get this body back to the factory for some more aftermarket parts. I have had a friend step in to offer a brand new Sienna
Minivan if need be so he is new the back-up plan. The Talking Rock Taco says thanks for all the help and Cruise Safe!

Sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone know which tool the dealer would use to reset the Airbag light after removing the passenger front seat?
