Just to double check, your mesh is the Flat Black option correct?

I'm in the middle of it and having a hell of a time where the mesh transitions from sandwiched to laying on top on the sides.

Thats where I had trouble. I ended up bending the mesh on the sides and sandwiching it all the way around

Just be careful not to scratch the paint on the side that shows. It takes trial and error to get the bend exactly right.

Yeah, the grill is almost a little too long and it hits the edges. I think I cut some more plastic out so it would fit. You could also try Dons of Dons method of bending the grill mesh edges.

While the glue was drying I put some weight on the center of the grill. I also screwed it down to fix the gaps that I had in the corners. Turned out pretty good. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

It's kind of surprising how much plastic you end up having to cut out. I was trying to be all precise and not cut any extra at first. Then I realized it didn't matter. I ended up cutting out extra and bending the grill in. Made life a lot easier.

    Looking good!

Definitely makes it easier to install with more play room.

All done. Turned out pretty good. Couple spots I noticed but other than that it looks real good. Dropped my raptor toyota letters off at the powder coating place today. I'll have them back next week.

It seems the slots are much more popular than the hex design. I prefer the hex. What am I missing?

Little different. Everyone seems to have the hex look. But this is the first different look I have seen.

The hex wire is too thin and wirey for me. You can see through it much easier than the slotted. Plus the slotted grill is very sturdy and stiff.

I ordered the slotted and got the flimsier hexagon one. No biggie. I didn't have the patience to send back. But yes, you can really see through it. Need to move my horns and throw some lights in there. Thanks again on the write up. Made life a lot easier.
