So I’m putting a 2012 touchscreen non-jbl touchscreen in a 2011 that had an aftermarket radio and amp in it. I disconnected all of that and got the required wiring harnesses and now I have no sound. The head unit powers on and I am currently using the CD player to test the system. It’s playing but nothing is coming out.

Any thoughts? Sound was working fine beforehand just updating the look some. What am I missing? Has to be something easy. I’m about to lose my mind.

New Antenna now hooked up via adapters. Scan shows it’s working. Still nothing.

Were any wires cut out of the OEM harness to add the amp with your previous Alpine radio

So if the radio that your putting in is non jbl then it can only be a few things.
1 output of new radio is bad
    2 there are cut wires
3 they ran new wires from the door to where the amp is and you need to remove the door panels and hook the factory wiring back up.

Take a multimeter and see if your getting 4 ohms at the radio for the speakers. That will narrow it down and tell you a lot

1 probably this. Previous owner said it worked.
2 doesn’t appear to be any
3 they spliced into the factory wires behind the door panels. I have the amp entirely disconnected now to rule that out
4 I need to do this

I ordered a new headunit to replace this oem one. Got tired of fucking with it.
