My intermittent wipers seem to be working backwards. When you turn the stalk to the long line, the delay becomes shorter. In all of my other vehicles, when I select the long line the delay is longer.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it working correctly?

I noticed that too. Mine is the same- its funny because my 2000 4runner had the same stalk, but was opposite of my 2012 tacoma.

Mine is the same way. Is it wrong or did Toyota do this intentionally?

Glad to hear someone else having this issue. Does it work this way on 2011's or earlier?

Me too, i was messed up for the first few minutes of rain as I did it manually. Not a big problem though, minor reprogram of my brain and we're good to go.

I have a 2010 and it is backwards too. long line short delay, short line long delay.

Maybe they changed the longer line to mean "more often" and the shorter line means "less often". It can be viewed either way but agree that the longer line makes more sense meaning longer delay. Have seen it both ways in different vehicles. In the end, it really doesn't matter that much tho.

I have seen it both ways too. The reason I thought it may have been reversed is that on my 06 Tacoma the long line was longer delay and short line was short delay. When I first used the wipers in my 2010 i was like wtf. it's reversed.

Hmm, I'll be honest and say I have never really looked at it. I just know if I turn it one way its faster, other way its slower.
