Engage Off Road Racing’s “Girls” had a great weekend of racing this past weekend out in Barstow California. That’s right we said “Girls”, the 7th Annual MORE Powder Puff Race took place this past weekend on an amazing chilled air and sunny day on Saturday October 6th 2012. The Team for this Great Charity Race was comprised of Driver of Record Jennifer White along with Vanessa Kuykendall and Eva Darra. This was the first time all three girls ever raced in a race but you could not tell by the way they maneuvered around race traffic during the race.
The Race began at 8:30 am and the girls driving the EngageOffRoad/BFGoodrich/Toyota Tacoma Sponsored 1450 Truck were second to take off the line in their class. For the First lap, Jennifer White was behind the wheel and Vanessa Kuykendall was her Navigator. The girls started of nice and slow, but by race mile 3 they got into their groove and began to pass traffic. Jennifer and Vanessa got into a good racing groove and were able to set the fastest lap for their class on the first lap. Jennifer knew to save the truck for the other girls so they could all race and have fun and got it across the Start/Finish Line in 44 minutes with 36 seconds.
For the Second Lap, Jennifer jumped out of the driver seat and handed the EngageOffRoad/BFGoodrich/Toyota Tacoma Sponsored 1450 Truck over to Vanessa Kuykendall who had Navigated the first lap and Eva Darra jumped in to Navigate the second Lap with Vanessa. Vanessa took off from the pit dusting out the Pit Crew getting a jump on 3rd place and staying ahead of them for the rest of their lap. Once again Vanessa got into a racing groove and with Eva Navigating they both got the EngageOffRoad/BFGoodrich/Toyota Tacoma Sponsored 1450 Truck to the Start/Finish Line in one piece in 53 minutes and 13 seconds.
For their Third and Final Lap, Vanessa jumped out of the EngageOffRoad/BFGoodrich/Toyota Tacoma Sponsored 1450 Truck and handed it over to Eva Darra who had Navigated the second lap. Jennifer White at this point jumped back into the truck once again but this time as the Navigator for Eva. Eva took off into the Race Course to prove a point and keep the truck ahead of the competition. Eva drove the truck strong but ran into a little trouble around Race Mile 7 where they had to pull over at the pit and get the Driver side rear bedside removed as it was falling off. Eva and Jen at this point got back into a racing groove and got the truck back to the Start/Finish Line without further incidents with a lap time of 1hour and 47 seconds.

The “Girls” showed the “Boys” that they could handle their own, and that their ready to jump into the truck any time if they “Boys” get tired. Over all, everyone in the Engage Off Road Racing Powder Puff Team had a great weekend and a great Race. The “Girls” had great support as plenty of Sponsors’s helped them raise the money needed to race this great race and friends and family helped by donating money to the girls. We all would like to thank the Business’s that helped the “Girls” out, Blitzpro Lighting, EZ Up, TacomaWorld.com, Adams Motorsports Park, Snapik Media, Redlands Motorsports and GG Lighting for Sponsoring the “Girls” for this Great Race.
Once again Engage Off Road Racing is proud to help raise money for such a worthy cause and show that the Off Road Racing Community is here to help out such a noble cause and help Cedars-Sinai to raise awareness and improve the health of the ladies in our lives who are fighting cancer.”
