What gets me is that there was a similar hit in another game in which the player wasn't suspended... The NCAA needs to get their collective heads out of their asses with some of these rules...

In other news...Mark Richt gets added to the injury list. Apparently "He suffered an abrasion and slight contusion of the chin in celebratory hug of Richard Samuel after Missouri’s thwarted fake punt. “I think my chin just rubbed back and forth on his shoulder pad and the meshing of his jersey and just wore a hole there,” said Richt, who hasn’t been able to shave since. “But that was a lot of fun.”"

hahaha. I thought that was pretty funny. I thought the hug was funny in general. That's the most emotion I've seen from him in a long time.

 

Yeah I saw that, I was wondering if that Mizzou fan was gonna pay Samuel the bounty he offered.

 

Its strange that the conference would hand down the suspension on a play that wasnt even flagged. Ive heard that there have been 4 other hits in the conference that were worse and flagged but no suspensions for those players.

 

Good one... The funny thing is, later in that thread he upped the bounty to 5000!

One thing is that by going football in the ACC would probably cause ND to lose a lot of money from CBS (whoever the hell it is) for television rights...

Haven't heard a word about that. Doesn't mean it's not true, but Google search turns up nothing, and I feel pretty sure that somebody would have called into one of the sports shows and said something.

Hope not, but who knows. Fortunately, Arky has turned into a walkover game this week, so maybe we can win with 100% running anyway.

 

I swear I read that somewhere. But I, like you can't find anything on the matter. May very well have been on some blog, that some folks report as fact these days. I think Arky was a gimme regardless.

One thing is for sure....ND's schedule is tough. My hat's off to them.

at #10 Michigan State, #17 Michigan, #21 Stanford, #25 BYU, at #5 Oklahoma and at #2 USC. Not to mention U of Miami and much improved Wake Forest team.

 

He lives here in Mobile and nothing local has come up on ths.

 

Maybe a little tough, but stanford and usc (how in the hell are they #2) aren't the proverbial powerhouses this year...but, I've seen worse...

 

Because the BCS sucks and needs to go way.
