Exactly...the kiss of death... I hope that Grantham has the D dialed, which I suspect they will be.

I told my wife she better take the kids out shopping or upstairs or something like that... NO INTERRUPTIONS!

It wouldn't matter if either ga or sc was completely down and in the gutter...these 2 teams just have a knack for playing each other close

I'm expecting a hell of a ball game that I suspect will become one of those season defining, instant classics type of games

I love how worked up some guys can get over their teams....college or pro. It's almost as if they actually play or played on the team for years and come Hell or highwater, they have to defend their teammates.

Hell.....most football fans have never even stepped foot on a football field.

Very true. High school doesn't count so I won't mention it. I will be the first to admit that I am a GA homer and drink the koolaid...I did graduate from there so I will support my team...

I think fans see it as representative of thier state . Alabama has no pro team of any kind so college ball is the big thing.

With my dad being a Bama fan, it has to do with family ties. He and his father watched Bear Bryant on saturdays so he associated the team and the sport with time he spent with his dad. With me and MSU, it's been my dream school and an escape from Sugar Land and Aggieland.

Two seasons at UGA.Tore all kind of crap up in my shoulder sophomore year. I ended up transferring back close to home and giving up football. Even being a high school standout, the division one level is a whole different game... Faster, stronger, the best of the best. Now I watch from the couch. Not as fun, but my body reminds me every day that football made me older sooner lol.

When did you go there? At least you got to play between the hedges. Never was good enough to make it, but I am fine with that. Both my brother and I graduated from UGA and we both bleed red and black. Interesting that we both stayed at the O house our freshman year (several years apart though)! GO DAWGS!!!

'09 and '10, not the most impressive seasons in recent history. I was a little hometown hero, but in Athens not quite. I walked on and got some playing time on special teams and some on D from time to time. Didn't win any rings, but it was awesome to live out a dream to wear the red and black. Dawg fan through thick and thin.

You got the chance to do what thousands wish they could. And just think, you got to play on the same field as some of the greats...talk about a dream come true! The closest I got to the hedges was from the fan side. My brother and I had long graduated by the time you rolled in. Great story, man. Go Dawgs!

Talk about the stadium, can you imagine this being your very first time on the field in college football; running down the field to make a tackle, but trying not to have an anxiety attack while 92,000+ are screaming loud at Sanford Stadium? I didn't get to travel the week before to OSU, but made the kickoff team against SC; the first home game and my first time on the field. I was glad it was a touchback because I was nervous lol. I found a video of it on youtube. Also the last time WE, myself included, beat SC.

Nice! I remember how loud Sanford can get - went to every home game while there, but its been a while... I would be as nervous as hell in front of that crowd! Man I am dying for this weekend to get here...I really hope we bring our A game and our O line can "man up" as Richt said...I warned the wife that it might get out of hand - so I think she is going to spend some alone time with the kids!:D
