2012 NCAA Football Thread

Bama has a lot of returning players, Saban played the second string players a whole lot more this past year than he did in 2009. Plus AJ McCarron has a great O-Line returning to protect him and they are plenty stacked at tailback. The defense is still stacked enough at linebacker and defensive backs that they shouldn't have problems at all. If they don't go undefeated, they'll have 10 wins and probably the Sugar Bowl

With the new Offensive Coordinator, who did some geat stuff with Washington and their qb, I could see him possibly being a legit heisman candidate his senior year, if he stays around.

 

I was very proud of AJ in the NCG specifically. I thought he really stepped up and performed. I can't imagine how intimidating that could be. I was truly skeptical for the entire season. I think he came into his own rhythm in the NCG

 

I listened to his interview after the game and he and Saban were joking around and AJ stated that once he got to play the way he wanted to and show some emotion and actually lead the team, he did better. If Saban opened up the passing game a little more, his stats would be pretty impressive, that includes screen passes to the running back and play action passes, it would probably be helpful to the running game as well to loosen up the defense.

 

Yeah I agree! Seems like "football 101" to me...I'm positive if Saban would have not been so conservative in the first game with LSU, BAMA would have won. He made some pretty stupid calls at the end of the game and in overtime. I actually thought maybe he was losing on purpose.

 

While that was cool and all, Kurt Busch wins the car of the week award

I was hoping he was gonna win it just because of the car. He did the whole "I don't know what to do with my hands" thing during an interview, too. It was awesome.

hahahaha, but Duke may actually win some games that people don't expect since they have an experienced team and good QB now. After all it is the ACC.

and for any ACC fans out there, i'm sorry but we do have more BCS bowl wins than your entire conference, so glad you turned us down for membership...
